Dr. Sheerah Neal Keith is passionate about serving children and families belonging to historically marginalized communities. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board-Qualified Supervisor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi, a National Certified Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist. Sheerah serves on the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Counseling & Development and the International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling. Her research interests include infant and early childhood mental health, social drivers of health (encompassing mental health), and neurobiological correlates of psychosocial well-being. Another of Sheerah’s developing research lines is devoted to the Black maternal and infant health crises, and their implications for early childhood and family policy. Sheerah strongly believes in using research as advocacy for the children and families most in need.
